The friendly staff who helped with check in etc.
Noise from the street, lack of internet connection
Newly refurbished, very comfortable, friendly staff, good location good value for money.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Phoenix Park Hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. The location is great also as it is within walking distance (15-20 mins) of the city centre. Very good value for money. We would stay here again and would not hesistate in recommending it.
Location was not bad
Ia payed for double room though was placed in twin room. Tv did not work and we had no hot wahad no hot water. Bought a breakfast and we got charged 6 euro more than what was on the price list
Just stayed one night as we were going to a concert
Convenient location for my visit.
It is mis-represented as a Hotel, it is more a BB/Hostel. During the stay I never once saw the restaurant/canteen open, all meals had sort externally.
We were very happy with staying at The Phoneix Park Hotel. The staff were lovely and really helpful. We definitely concider staying here again!
Location and the fact it is quiet
Not enough electricity sockets
Really clean hotel, good transport links making it easily accessible to shops and concert venues. Young guy on reception really friendly and very helpful!
Stayed here the night of Take That and booked the day before at a great rate for the night of €99.00 - all other hotels were €200+ On check in - an extremely friendly and helpful irishman who offered to give guests a map and explain where we were, where to go etc etc. Room was a clean single room, small but perfect for those just needing a bed. Checked out early so did not sample breakfast (not included). Hotel is newly refurbished and under new management. Closely locted to Hueston Station and the Luas.
Would probably not be the best location at night - especially alone but I got taxi back so was fine.
Convenience to the rail station and the Luas. Also, close to the city and Phoenix Park.
No Internet access. Telephones were not working.
No hot water, rude receptionist, worst hotel I have ever been.
The best part of my stay was checking out even though it took almost 20mins to do so, 10 mins of which was spent looking for a member of staff. It was however very clean at least.
Firstly checking in took 45mins due to the incompetence of the member of staff at reception. She did not seem to know what she was doing and on 3 occasions had to get another staff member to help her with trivial matters. She asked me to pay up front, which I did not mind, however when I attempted to pay with a credit card she informed me that they did not take credit cards, despite the fact that it was clearly marked outside that they did indeed take all major credit cards. After informing her of this she then left the reception and returned with the card machine. It appeared that she just did not want to go down the stairs to retrive the machine. After another 15mins trying to get the key card machine to work I was finally told where my room was. I proceeded to my room to discover that it was a twin room and not a double which I had booked. When I informed the reception of this I was informed that it was the only room available despite the fact there did not appear to be any other guests staying there, in fact I did not see any other guests for the duration of my stay.
fanastic staff, great business location, lots of transport links. Clean comfortable room and all new!
As it is newly reopened there are bits to be done eg TV, radio, hotel information book etc. But it is nearly there!
It was within walking distance from Heuston station for the early morning train. Good value for money and Nancy Hands pub was good food and close by.
